The Indian Snacks Industry

There is one industry that will never witness a downfall; in fact with time, it is going to flourish the more. Well, it is the snacks industry in India. Savoring of various delights like snacks, namkeens, sweets, is very common among Indians. One of the big names in the Indian snacks industry is no doubt Bikanervala. There is hardly any Bikanervala outlet that has no crowd; it is the brand identity that matters. This brand has become a household name for sweets including milk sweets, namkeens, vegetarian snacks, chaat, and more items. Given the high demand for vegetarian snacks like burger and other hunger appeasing food items, Bikanervala has opened a series of café outlets under the banner of Bikano Chat Café. So, you can have all delightful vegetarian snacks at such an outlet.

The prospect of the Indian snacks industry is pretty promising inviting foreign players as well. But again it is only renowned brands that rule the roost. And Bikanervala, being an Indian company prominent for over a century with its mouth watering sweets, milk sweets, and namkeen and more items being added to the menu later, people just throng to its outlets.

Milk sweets are one of the special items in the Bikanervala menu. Khoa is the common item used to make milk sweets; milk is boiled to remove the moisture. When butter, sugar and various other flavors and combinations are added, these are turned into different milk sweets like barfi, malai, kheer, sandesh, rasagulla, etc.
